Dental Bridge

If you are missing one or more teeth, we can help you by placing a dental bridge – a procedure and solution offered at our convenient Plano, Texas location. A bridge is an artificial tooth, or multiple teeth, bonded on each side to a porcelain crown that can last seven to ten years or more.

Why would a dental bridge be necessary?
Dental bridges fill in gaps between teeth, drastically improving the aesthetics of your smile – as well as the function of your bite.

When one or more of your teeth are missing, other teeth in your mouth will begin to change position. This can lead to various issues including jaw joint pain or discomfort (TMJ Disorder or TMD), and diminished tooth structure and function (the way your teeth look, their ability to chew food).

How is the dental bridge placed?
Having a dental bridge placed is a two visit procedure for the patient. At your first visit, Dr. Barnett will prep your teeth around the missing tooth or teeth, and take some impressions to send to the lab that will create your new teeth. You will leave the office with a temporary bridge in place while your permanent bridge is being created. In about two weeks we will have you come back for a quick visit to have Dr. Barnett place the permanent bridge.
