Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are extremely thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to teeth to improve worn, chipped, and misaligned or discolored teeth. Veneers bond strongly to teeth, making them very durable. Dr. Peter Barnett, DMD, has years of experience with porcelain veneers at his Plano, TX office – Star Ranch Dental. Come in today for a no-cost consultation and see how we can be your best option in Plano, Frisco and surrounding areas in North Dallas to help you achieve a perfect smile!
Here’s an idea of what you can expect when considering porcelain veneers:
Visit 1: Impressions and photos are taken for the wax up. A wax up is a 3D model made from wax that will allow you to see the overall outcome of your new smile with porcelain veneers! This will reassure you with what to expect – no surprises. The wax up will be completed and back to our office in 2 to 3 weeks.
Visit 2: Approving the wax up. After reviewing the model, both you and Dr. Barnett will have the opportunity to look at the results and make adjustments or approve and move forward.
Visit 3: Dr. Barnett will prep your teeth and more impressions and photos will be taken. A shade test will also be taken for the lab to create the perfect, natural veneer for you. We will then send you home after placing temporaries on your teeth for a week, to give you a feel for your new smile. If all feels and looks right to you and Dr. Barnett, the lab will get to work on your porcelain veneers – having them ready in about 3 weeks.
Visit 4: Dr. Barnett will remove the temporaries from your teeth, and seat your brand new veneers!
